Potential Entrants : The Vegetable Cosmetics Market is in strong expansion since several years and is still attracting numerous entrants in spite of the fact that numerous competitors are already present on the market (Yves Rocher was the pioneer of its concept).

Buyers : Yves Rocher has the advantage to possess a really diversified products range which allows them to attract very different consumers and in a mass way (their policy is to sell a lot at a lox price), so it is clear that there is a huge power of consumers.


Rivalry : The competition is moderate on the Vegetable Cosmetics sector. We have big brands like L'Oréal (with The Body Shop) and Nivea who also distribute natural products, but we also have traditional stores as the Occitan in Provence which is besides a safe brand of natural cosmetics.

Suppliers : In France, the power of suppliers is quite low because Yves Rocher is a brand who manages at the same time its harvest plants necessary for the manufacturing of cosmetics, its production and its distribution. So YR doesn’t really need some suppliers for the reason they manage their own business from the starting point until the end…

Substitutes : The strong competition on the natural products makes that Yves Rocher consumers can choose the products of the competition.
